The City-Parish Public Works Department has pulled the building permit fee increase from the council agenda. The purpose of the increase was to address a $1.2 million deficit in the Permit and Inspections Department.
The Commercial Investment Division of the Greater Baton Rouge Association of REALTORS® participated in hearing the proposal alongside the Growth Coalition and Homebuilders Association and will continue to work with the Metro Council to improve the permitting process.
