Nov. 5th | Real Estate Agent Safety | 2 hr. Course | 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

We will review safety procedures for buyers’ agents when showing a property and discuss proper conduct should an emergency occur. Upon completion of this course, the agent will understand situational awareness and how to practice it as a part of their everyday business. We will also experiment with different safety gadgets and apps available that can help to create a safer environment for the agents and their clients.

Nov. 5th | Virtual Real Estate | 2 hr. Course | 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM

Discover new ways to virtually communicate with clients and agents during a digital transaction. This course will identify the challenges associated with listing a property virtually and how to solve them. Upon completion of this course, the student will understand the process of taking a buyer through a virtual showing and how to solve the virtual problems that may arise. Finally, the student will know how to explain and prepare their clients for a virtual closing.

Nov. 10th | Ethics in Advertising & Social Media | 3 hr. Course | 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

This course will explore the various Fair Housing violations agents experience within their advertisements and ways to avoid them. We will apply the REALTOR® Code of Ethics Articles to everyday real estate practices, in person and on social media. Finally, we will examine the fundamentals of lead generation tools and systems agents can use to grow their database.

Nov. 10th | Listing Language | 2 hr. Course | 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM

This course will explore the demographics of today’s sellers so that the agent can better understand their clients who may be looking to sell. This course will allow the agent to become familiar with the market and seller attitudes toward the market as a whole. We will also examine the types and contents of a listing agreement and the process in place when listing a property. Upon completion of this course, the agent will understand the value and benefit to the seller that pricing a property can bring.

Nov. 13th | Let’s Talk Flood | 3 hr. Course | 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM

In this course, the student will gain actionable techniques and best practices on how to protect their buyers in purchasing a previously flooded home; as well as, listing and promoting previously flooded homes. This session will explore how flooding and flood insurance plays a role in the value of a property. Additionally, we will discuss the important features of the NFIP policy every agent needs to know.

Nov. 30th | Everything You Need to Know About Insurance | 2 hr. Course | 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM

This course will identify the most common errors and omissions claims filed against real estate agents and ways to avoid these mistakes. We will review the benefits, and protections for the agent, of a broad liability umbrella policy. Furthermore, we will distinguish between what accidents and perils are covered and not covered in various policies.

Nov. 30th | Taxes and Real Estate | 2 hr. Course | 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Taxes can impact you on a personal and professional level. This course will teach you some of the best strategies to reduce your tax burden while also offering insights on tax issues facing your potential clients. At the conclusion of this course, the student will understand Property Taxes and their impact on property pricing and valuation as well as be able to distinguish between assessments and mileages. The student will also understand estate tax rules and its effect on the real estate transaction, what goes into the assessment, and have an overview of the 1031 Exchanges.

Nov. 30th | LA New Home Warranty Act | 2 hr. Course | 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM

This course will cover everything the agent needs to know about new construction in Louisiana. Ranging from developing productive relationships with builders to helping clients evaluate the pros and cons of purchasing newly constructed homes. We will discuss how to help buyers understand the new-home construction sales contract for a smoother transaction. Finally, this course will weigh the considerations involved in building on an already owned lot and custom building.
